Summer Programs

The Wolfpack Strength and Speed Program is a total athletic program available to all Park student-athletes entering grades 8-12 in the fall of 2011. This will be a 7-week program consisting of 27 sessions running from June 13th through August 5th (no sessions from July 1-8). The training will take place at Park High School in the weight room and outdoor athletic fields.

The Wolfpack strength and speed program is a great way for student-athletes to take their sports conditioning to the next level. The goal of the program is to condition the athlete for all sports they may be involved in during the upcoming school year, while increasing their speed, strength and mobility. An emphasis will also be placed on injury prevention.

The training sessions will be a blend of athletic strength training, plyometrics, mobility/agility drills and balance training. This training will help the athlete become well-rounded by increasing their strength, agility, speed and balance.

All athletes should wear appropriate attire for training and also bring water to stay hydrated.

The training staff will consist of Park sport coaches and be directed by Ron Hoff, Park High Strength and Conditioning Coach. Coach Hoff is certified through the ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association) as both a Fitness Trainer and a Specialist in Sports Conditioning and has over 25 years experience in strength and conditioning training, currently owning his own personal training business. He has also been a member of the USA Power-lifting team and earned national and world titles.

All campers will receive a t-shirt. If you have any questions regarding the program you can call Coach Hoff at (651) 785-5388 or Activities Director Phil Kuemmel at (651) 768-5720. Fees may be prorated if a student is not available for all 7 weeks. Financial assistance is available through Community Education.
